As a busy brand owner, it can be daunting to assemble a temporary team you’ve never worked with before (or trust). Even if you have found the right people, your next challenge is scrambling to connect the dots between all the different experts and somehow project manage them without knowing how things actually work in digital marketing land.

I offer this additional service because I believe in full service. It’s as if a chef also Uber’d the meal they prepared directly to your door (who else can assure it arrives hot - right?!)

Essentially, I become your second brain, your delegator and decision maker. I help you manage all the moving parts in the lead up to launch, so you can keep your focus on your actual business.

I’ll oversee all the nitty gritty: from launching a website, connecting email automations and social media platforms, to simply pulling together final design documents - I can liaise between all the experts, or bring in experts of my own.

It’s project management, with perks. Why? Because of my unique position as brand strategist and copywriter, coupled with my marketing knowledge and experience as a project manager / whip cracker. I intrinsically understand the task at hand, not only because I am adept at digital marketing, but because I have played a crucial part in creating it. I ensure the brand strategy and copy we developed together is given the best shot at success.

You haven’t found the right service provider you can trust, so you’re looking for referrals. Or, you have a few experts locked in but you’re still filling in the gaps of your temporary team. I can refer you to my network to find the best pro for the job, and liaise with all parties for a seamless process. I speak their language (i.e. jargon) so you don’t have to spend hours deciphering the difference between css and ssl, or DPI and DNS.

 
 

The process is as simple as 4 steps:


  • Because I know what the outcomes are (from creating them with you), I will know exactly how to create the briefing documents for the specific receiver. This document is approved by you, and then sent to the marketing expert - e.g. web designer, graphic designer, email specialist, ad specialist etc

  • All of the moving parts are managed during the project, I direct the traffic from client to creative, and vice versa. I support you during conversations, team meetings, feedback rounds etc to get the best outcome for your business. You’ll have a marketing expert on your side the entire time, which is especially handy when you need a second opinion.


  • Once the project/s are ready to launch, we coordinate with all the various experts to determine the best course of action to roll everything out.

    I’ll be there to steer the ship, ensuring everything is delivered accurately and on time.


  • Everything goes live, you’ll have all the documents and references you need from the team to keep on file, and your brand is finally out there!

You don’t understand the jumbled jargon that marketing people and designers use (nor do you have time to individually google them all) - you need someone who is adept at communicating with various marketing pro’s, but stands in your corner to advocate for the best outcomes possible for you.

I recognised a gap in the world of copywriting - where once the content gets send off to the client, they don’t know what to do to make the most of it. They’re usually at the whim of who the content has been sent to, and they’ll never know if it was truly done right. As a solo service provider, I’ll always take ownership, responsibility and accountability over my clients’ deliverables. I collaborate with experts and rely on their particular zone of genius, but I’m able to support my clients as the liaison between them and the marketing experts (graphic designers, website designers, photographers, email marketing experts, social media managers, paid ads experts etc) because of my marketing experience.

  • You can, if that’s what you’re comfortable doing! This service is specifically for business owners who are feeling overwhelmed at the idea of rolling out all the different elements of a ‘launch’ sans support.


  • I wear a lot of metaphorical marketing hats: brand strategist, copywriter, digital marketer, project manager.

    This puts me in the unique position of being able to ‘be your second brain’ and stay in your corner as we work through the launch projects together. I’m able to support your business goals by being the project manager who has strategic and applied knowledge of the various aspects of marketing - from web design to social media, to emails and ads. This makes me a suitable sounding board for all of your decision making - e.g. understanding what things mean, why an expert is suggesting something, figuring out what’s possible, and problem solving.

    Having all of the moving parts managed by one person takes the stress off you (because you’re not a marketer!) and ensures a smoother, more successful experience for everyone involved.


  • The minimum viable investment amount to work with Akin is $500 ex gst. My project management service is calculated on an hourly consulting rate basis of $100 ex gst per hour. The project scope hours can be determined before work commences, or it can be time tracked.
